Grammy award winner LaShawn Daniels dies in auto crash



Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer, LaShawn Daniels, 41, has passed away, following a fatal car accident which occurred in South Carolina.

The thespian known for his songwriting for Micheal Jackson and Beyonce died on Tuesday.

Daniels death was announced by his Publicist Jojo Pada.

Pada revealed that the thespian’s death resulted from the injuries he sustained in the ghastly car accident.

The publicist’s statement revealed that Daniel’s widow, Aprill Daniel had first issued a statement regarding her husband’s death, on Tuesday, September 4.

He wrote: “It is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, family member and friend LaShawn Daniels.

“Daniels was the victim of a fatal car accident in South Carolina.

“A Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter, Daniels was a man of extraordinary faith and a pillar in our family.

“We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the continuous outpouring of love and sympathy.”

The popular song by Destiny’s Child “Say my name”, earned the songwriter a Grammy award for best R&B song in 2001.

He is famous for the hits he wrote for Whitney Houston, Spice Girls, Beyonce, Micheal Jackson, Alicia Keys, George Michael, Toni Braxton among others.

Since the announcement of his death, fans have since gathered on his social media page to mourn his demise.

“Rest in peace @bigshiz I can’t believe this. U just sent me a record.. we were supposed to work together next week…” a fan wrote on Instagram.
