One of Hollywood’s most unforgettable actoers, Zsa Zsa Gabor has passed away today at the age of 99. She was Born Sari Gabor in 1917 in Budapest, she was fondly called Zsa Zsa by family members and the nickname quickly stuck.
She featured in hit movies such as Moulin Rouge (1952), Lili (1953) and Queen of Outer Space (1958) but she was equally famous off screen. Her celebrity lifestyle, string of nine husbands, candour and her love for glamorous gowns and diamonds were always the subject of conversations.
She is survived by her only child, Constance Francesca Hilton, whom she had with hotel magnate Conrad Hilton as well as her last husband Frederic von Anhalt, who she married when she was 70. He confirmed to newsmen that she died of a heart attack as he tearfully revealed, “Everybody was there. She didn’t die alone,”
