The Hollywood Reporter said the grants will consider the on-screen character in the best supporting on-screen character class, as opposed to for best on-screen character because of his execution in the motion picture.

The comic's last screen flick was A Thousand Words discharged four years back in 2012.

This is Eddie's first Oscars assignment since his last grant as the Best Supporting Actor in 2007 at the Screen Actors Guild Awards for his part in Dreamgirls.

Famously known as 'Sovereign Akeem' in Coming to America (1988), Murphy gets rave surveys for new motion picture, Mr Church.

In Mr Church, Murphy plays the title character of a dark man (Henry Joseph Church) raising and nurturing a white young lady, Charlie in the 70's, after her mom fell sick with tumor as the family's cook.

Britt Robertson plays the character of Charlie, furthermore serves as the motion picture's storyteller. Robertson featured as Kirsten in the 2013 film, Delivery Man nearby Vince Vaughn and Chris Pratt.

Eddie Murphy gives a strangely quelled execution, no amusing lines to take cover behind.
